How to Remove Pop-Ups from the Bottom of Your Screen

If you've noticed little notifications popping up in the bottom corner of your screen while you're browsing, you're not alone, and the good news is, they're easy to turn off.

Why This Happens

Websites can ask your browser for permission to send you notifications, and it's easy to accidentally click "Allow" without realizing what you agreed to. Once that happens, that site can pop up messages on your screen any time it wants.

How to Stop It in Chrome

Open Chrome's settings, go to Privacy and Security, then Site Settings, then Notifications. From there you'll see every site that's allowed to send you pop-ups and can remove the ones you don't want.

How to Stop It in Edge

In Edge, go to Settings, then Cookies and Site Permissions, then Notifications. Just like Chrome, you'll see a list of sites and can turn off the ones that are bothering you.

How to Stop It in Firefox

In Firefox, go to Settings, then Privacy and Security, and scroll down to Permissions and Notifications. Remove or block whichever sites you don't want popping up.

A Quick Tip Going Forward

When a website asks for permission to send notifications, it's worth pausing before clicking "Allow." Most sites don't need it, and saying no now saves you from cleaning it up later.
